A 26- year-old printer has been arrested for allegedly defiling his neighbour’s seven-year-old daughter in Ilasamaja area of Lagos.

The suspect, a father of two, Akeem Oyeyemi, according to neighbours, usually lured the girl to his room with biscuits whenever he wanted to abuse her sexually.

He met his waterloo after the girl’s aunt (names withheld), who, out of curiosity, asked the child what other thing she collected from Akeem apart from biscuit, only for her to innocently reveal the unexpected.

A resident, Mrs Peju Anifo, who expressed shock over the discovery, explained that “anytime this child sees Akeem, she would be calling him . He would then give her biscuits. Nobody, not even the girl’s parents suspected he was defiling their daughter. They thought he was just fond of her. On Monday, the child’s aunt who heard her calling Akeem as usual, asked what Akeem usually gave her anytime she went to his room. The girl said he usually kissed her and demonstrated how he inserted his manhood into her.

In shock, the lady called on the attention of the child’s parents who subjected Akeem to interrogation. But he denied. The matter was reported at Ilasamaja Police Division, following which Akeem was arrested. He still denied the allegation”.

Medical checks conducted on the girl, showed that her hymen had been broken and that there was penetration through her anus.

At the medical centre, Vanguard gathered an artificial male organ, among others, was brought out for her to identify which of them the victim usually used on her.

She was said to have pointed at the artificial manhood.

As at yesterday, Vanguard was informed that the suspect had been charged to court.
