Flour Mills Nigeria Plc has expended over N200 million in the course of carrying out a number of developmental projects and in the provision of certain basic social amenities in Apapa Local Government Area of Lagos State.

The company, as parts of activities marking its 50th anniversary in Lagos, Wednesday, stated that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Apapa Local Government, enabling it to carry out a number of developmental projects in its area of operations, such as the rehabilitation of major roads, improvement of the health and educational facilities within the local government.

Speaking during the hoisting of its Anniversary Flag and flag-off of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects, Managing Director of the company, Dr. Emmanuel Ukpabi noted that its major focus is on the area of health services, social welfare and provision of conducive environment for business and human habitation.
To this end, the company, according to Ukpabi, is partnering with Apapa Local Government in the beautification of major roads in the local government, expansion of existing school structures in the locality, especially with the complete renovation of United Christian Secondary School, Apapa and the installation of digital traffic lights in strategic locations across the local government.

He further stated that the company has contributed immensely in the improvement of health care facilities in the local government, as it single-handedly equipped and provided basic amenities for major health institutions in the area.
He said, “As parts of the celebration of our 50th anniversary, we are poised to ensure that staff, shareholders and other stakeholders of the company benefit from the operations and activities of the companies.
