IBADAN— FOLLOWING the comments by Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State that some aggrieved members of All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state had agreed to come back to the party after reconciliatory move, the breakaway faction of the party,  the Unity Forum has challenged the governor to make the list of the returnees public.

Recall that  Governor Ajimobi had hinted that the crisis within the APC in the state is nearing resolution, with the splinter groups said to be closing ranks with the mainstream.

However, the Unity Forum in a statement by  its secretary, Dr. Wasiu Olatunbosun, described the action of the governor “as mere grandstanding.”

Olatubosun said the purported reconciliatory moves by the governor was a fluke and an attempt to hoodwink the public that all is well within the party.

He said: “The Unity Forum strongly remains steadfast with over 100,000 members across the state and committed to the political realignment in the state with the view of wrestling power from APC led autocratic government in the state where the general public have been subjected to untold hardship with anti-people policies.”
