THE International Programme Director of the Americas Empowerment Institute, AEMPIN, Dr. Nadine Jenkins has said that the institute’s global empowerment awards honours outstanding individuals, government officials, agencies, entrepreneurs, and corporate executives who have positively impacted the economic growth of their countries.
AEMPIN is a public, non-political, non-profit educational institute serving a global constituency.
Jenkins who made the remarks recently at the graduation and certification ceremony of participants of Mini-MBA in Strategic Management and Leadership, Certified Telecoms Managerial Specialist and Emerging Trends and Improved Effectiveness in Public Service Delivery courses at AEMPIN campus in Houston, Texas, United States of America, urged more Africans to apply for the award so as to prepare them for global competitiveness.
Jenkins explained that the awards committee follows a laid down process based on nomination of candidates.
“Nominations are now open for 2018 Global Empowerment Award. You can nominate a candidate. We receive less number of nominees and votes from African countries than the rest of the continents,” she noted.
