The meeting came barely less than 24 hours after a splinter group emerged from the APC with the name Reformed All Progressives Congress, R-APC and also in less than two weeks to the governorship election in Ekiti state.
The agenda of the meeting was not made public even as neither the Chairman of the APC Governorship Forum, Rochas Okorocha nor the newly elected chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomwole was seen as at the time the meeting started.
The three governors who are all from the North West at the meeting were Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) and Governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari, and his Jigawa and Kebbi counterparts, Abubakar Badaru and Bagudu Atiku, respectively.
The governors declined efforts by the State House correspondents to know the agenda of the meeting.
Although two of the governors when approached to comment had made some signs suggesting that every inquiries should be directed to the Chairman of Governors Forum, Alhaji Yari, he, (Yari) however, simply said that it was a private visit.
