It’s not a threat, but a motion that is about to commence. If Buhari is not impeached in the next three months, there will be no elections from the look of things. It will shock Nigerians to note that as for now, we are undergoing total breakdown of law and order with the Buhari executive’s excesses over NASS and the Judiciary. He must be impeached to restore confidence on our economy by the international community because they have lost confidence in Nigeria.

It is a very disappointing and worrisome development to have the NASS degenerate to issuing threats to get the executive to act. I don’t believe impeachment of PMB will aid democracy or solve the various troubling national issues we are presently facing. Dialogue and cooperation between the 3 democratic institutions which are of equal importance, will go a long way to further solve the issues and strengthen our democracy.

Threatening to impeach President Buhari at this point is gross irresponsibility and the least of Nigeria’s problems.
The act, if carried out, will only take us 20 years back into the dark ages.
The NASS should concentrate on its primary assignment and offer security tips and advice that could allow for a peaceful existence and unity in our land.

In my view, the National Assembly is just being selfish about the impeachment because the problem we have in this nation is corruption, therefore I beg the National Assembly of this great nation (Nigeria), to stop all their plans concerning impeachment.

I think the impeachment move is a political threat.
Even the blind can see the in-fighting that is going on in the ruling party.
However, in my opinion, I feel it is good for our democracy. It is a signal to the executive arm, particularly Mr. President, that he is not a generalissimo as of the days of the infamous military juntas.
For the sake of national interest and political stability, I want to appeal to the leadership of the 8th NASS to sheath their sword and find a political solution to the issue brewing this crisis.
