JALINGO — The President of the Nigerian Community in Turkey, NICOT, and Coordinator of the Tinubu Diaspora Support Group Europe, Amb. Prince Emre Magboh, has urged Nigerians in the diaspora to promote unity, patriotism and economic development through investments and partnerships at home.
Magboh made the call in his message marking Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary, urging Nigerians living abroad to remain good ambassadors of the country by upholding discipline, hard work and integrity in their host countries.
He also called on Nigerians across the globe to support economic development by channeling investments, technical expertise and strategic partnerships to the country.
“Nigerians living in different parts of the world must continue to serve as good ambassadors by demonstrating discipline, integrity, hard work, and patriotism in their various vocations and communities.
“We must continue to believe in our country and work together regardless of where we reside. The diaspora community holds a pivotal role in building a resilient economy and opening opportunities for future generations through strategic investments and partnerships,” he said.
Magboh also urged Nigerians in the diaspora to support the economic agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, saying their investments and expertise could contribute to national development.
The NICOT president commended Nigeria’s Ambassador to Turkey and former Kebbi State Governor, Amb. Usman Isa Dakingari Suleiman, for what he described as his engagement with the Nigerian diaspora and efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and promote the welfare of Nigerians in Turkey.
He also praised the leadership and members of NICOT for promoting unity and solidarity among Nigerians resident in Turkey.
Magboh expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future, saying the country could achieve greater development if citizens remained committed to one another and actively contributed to national progress.
He urged Nigerians to continue believing in the country and working collectively to build a more prosperous nation.
