Digital financial services provider, PalmPay, has launched a new customer-focused campaign, tagged ‘PalmPay Dey For You,’ aimed at reinforcing confidence in secure, reliable and accessible banking services among millions of Nigerians.

The company said the campaign was designed to reassure customers of its commitment to the safety of their funds and accounts, amid growing conversations around the security, stability and reliability of financial institutions.

PalmPay said it operates under the regulatory oversight of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, while eligible customer deposits are insured by the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation, NDIC.

According to the company, millions of Nigerians currently use its platform for everyday financial services, including fund transfers, bill payments, savings and other banking needs.

It said the campaign was built around a simple promise that customers should be able to use their money with confidence, knowing that the platform they rely on is designed to protect them and provide support when needed.

The company also said ‘PalmPay Dey For You’ would educate customers on security tools already available on the platform, enabling them to understand how to protect their accounts and activate available safeguards.

At the centre of the campaign is PalmPay’s Security Center, which provides customers with access to features designed to give them greater control over their accounts and transactions.

One of the features is Location Guard, which allows customers to set up to six trusted locations, providing an additional layer of protection against suspicious activity originating from unexpected locations.

PalmPay said the feature gives users greater control over where their accounts can be accessed, particularly at a time when account compromise remains a concern among digital financial service users.

Another feature, NightGuard, provides additional protection during selected periods, while the platform’s in-app security tools enable customers to review and strengthen their account security.

Commenting on the initiative, Managing Director, PalmPay Nigeria, Chika Nwosu, said trust remained fundamental to banking.

“Customers need to know that the institution they rely on is regulated, secure, dependable, and available when they need it,” Nwosu said.

“At PalmPay, protecting our customers and giving them greater control over their banking experience is central to how we operate.

“‘PalmPay Dey For You’ reinforces that commitment. We want customers to understand the security tools available to them, use those tools confidently, and know that PalmPay remains a reliable financial partner for their everyday needs,” he added.

The fintech company also said it had strengthened its customer support and dispute-management processes through its Dispute Page, which enables users to submit and monitor transaction disputes directly within the app.

For customers who lose access to their phones or cards, PalmPay said it had provided quick-response options to enable them to secure their accounts.

It said customers could lock their PalmPay accounts by dialling *861*12#, while cards could be locked using *861*7*5#.

PalmPay said the campaign reflected its broader approach to “security by design”, where customer protection is integrated into the user experience rather than activated only after an incident occurs.

It said the campaign would use educational content, frequently asked questions, customer forums and product-led communication to provide practical information on account security, fraud awareness and measures customers could take to protect themselves.

According to the company, convenience, value and security should work together in delivering financial services.

PalmPay said it would continue to strengthen its customer-protection tools while operating within the relevant regulatory framework.

“With regulatory oversight, a growing suite of customer-protection tools and the trust of millions of users, PalmPay remains committed to delivering a banking experience Nigerians can depend on,” the company said.
