Nigerian worship leader Kalusian, who is based in Finland, released a five-track EP titled Romans 8 on Friday, 28 August 2026. The project takes its title and thematic direction from the eighth chapter of the biblical Book of Romans.

The EP features “No Condemnation,” based on Romans 8:1; “My Identity,” based on Romans 8:14; “It Can Only Get Better,” based on Romans 8:28; “If God Be for Us,” based on Romans 8:31; and “Champions for Life,” based on Romans 8:37. The songs use different musical genres while retaining the biblical references as a common theme.

The project addresses subjects including faith, identity, freedom, hope and perseverance, reflecting themes found within Romans 8. Its five tracks approach the material through different musical arrangements rather than a single genre.

Kalusian has worked as a worship leader and has participated in gospel events involving the Sweden Gospel Festival Choir, Luke Flinch and Sinach. He has also been associated with gospel talent shows and worship events in parts of West and East Africa.

In discussing the EP, Kalusian said the project was influenced by his personal experience with Romans 8 and its themes of faith, identity, freedom and spiritual transformation.
