A political advocacy group, Enugu West Political Watch, has described Hon. Uche Kingsley Eneh as a new face of leadership capable of repositioning Enugu West through technology, enterprise, agriculture, infrastructure and human capital development.

The group, in a statement signed by its Director of Communication, Okolo Norbert, said the people of Enugu West needed leadership that would move beyond what it described as “piecemeal solutions” and short-term interventions.

According to the group, Eneh’s vision focuses on building sustainable systems of economic empowerment across the five local government areas that make up the senatorial district.

It said the proposed agenda included the establishment of ICT hubs across the five local government areas to connect young people with opportunities in the digital economy.

The group also highlighted plans for skills acquisition centres to equip youths with practical skills for employment and entrepreneurship.

It said Eneh’s proposed women’s economic empowerment programme would provide revolving loans, grants and structured support to enable women to establish and expand businesses and contribute more to the local economy.

For men, the group said the proposed policy direction would focus on productivity, enterprise and meaningful economic opportunities rather than dependence on periodic financial assistance.

On agriculture, it said Eneh intended to promote improved productivity, higher yields, stronger agricultural value chains and increased incomes for farmers across the zone.

The group added that his vision included the resuscitation and development of critical infrastructure, with emphasis on projects capable of improving residents’ daily lives and stimulating economic activity.

It described Eneh as a management consultant and ICT investor whose professional background, according to the group, had exposed him to systems development, enterprise and the changing demands of the digital economy.

The group also cited his philanthropic activities, describing him as a humanist who understood the importance of placing ordinary people at the centre of development.

“Enugu West deserves representation that thinks beyond the next election cycle,” the statement said.

The group said the zone needed leadership capable of identifying and developing the potential of its young people, women and farmers, while addressing its infrastructure needs.

It added that Eneh was seeking to present voters with “a different possibility” for the future of Enugu West rather than merely asking for their support as a political candidate.
