Media personality Tolu Oniru-Demuren, popularly known as Toolz, has opened up about her discomfort with being the centre of attention, revealing that she has never been completely comfortable with the spotlight.
Toolz made this known during an appearance on the Tea With Tay podcast, where she reflected on her personality and the challenges that came with being in the public eye.
“Being seen was very scary to me. If you are a naturally shy person, the idea of the spotlight being on you just makes you very uncomfortable, and it’s something that, if I am going to be honest, I am still not 100 percent comfortable with,” she said.
The media personality explained that having all eyes on her can still make her uncomfortable, noting that her shyness has also affected her appearances in music videos.
“Like when all the attention is on me, I am just like… That is one of the reasons why I have always been a horrible video vixen,” Toolz said.
Recalling one of her experiences as a video vixen, she said her discomfort was so obvious that she appeared to be in pain in the video.
“There was a video I was in as a video vixen. I looked like I was in pain,” she recalled.
