The Nigeria Single Window (NSW) platform has recorded significant progress in its Phase 1 rollout, with five government agencies fully operational on the system, while the Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA) and the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) are still completing their integration.
The development was contained in the Phase 1 Roll-out Status Update as of August 17, 2026, which showed that 114,122 licences and permits had been processed since the launch of the NSW platform on March 27, 2026.
According to the update, the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS) and National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA), as well as the Nigeria Customs Service, have completed their readiness and are operational on the platform.
The report showed that SON processed 78,957 documents with payments of N9.02 billion, while NAFDAC processed 34,815 documents and recorded N2.20 billion in payments. NAQS processed 38 documents, with payments of about N30 million, while NESREA processed 311 documents valued at about N10 million.
The Nigeria Customs Service was listed as 100 per cent compliant with the platform for its Licences, Permits, Certificates and Other Regulatory Documents, LPCO, while importers and freight forwarders/clearing agents were also recorded as fully completed and operating at 100 per cent compliance.
