The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), in partnership with OKE-EZE INCREASE LIMITED, has commenced a five-day ICT Foundation Digital Skills training programme for 50 youths in Benin City, Edo State.
The training, which began on July 13 and will end on July 17, is designed to equip participants with foundational digital skills to improve their employability and participation in Nigeria’s growing digital economy.
Participants are receiving training in computer fundamentals, Microsoft Office applications, internet research, digital communication, cybersecurity basics and introductory data management.
The programme combines classroom instruction with practical sessions to provide beneficiaries with hands-on experience.
Management of OKE-EZE INCREASE LIMITED commended NCDMB for partnering on the initiative and encouraged participants to maximise the opportunity to develop skills that would support their careers and contribute to digital transformation in Edo State and beyond.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the organisers, saying the training would equip them with skills needed to secure employment, establish businesses and remain competitive in the evolving job market.
According to the organisers, the collaboration between NCDMB and OKE-EZE INCREASE LIMITED forms part of ongoing efforts to empower Nigerian youths with relevant digital skills that promote self-reliance and national development.
