The LANI Foundation has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting academic excellence and capacity development by recognising outstanding students at the 54th Induction Ceremony of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, CITN.

The ceremony, held recently in Abuja, brought together tax professionals, policymakers, industry leaders and newly inducted members to celebrate professional excellence and integrity in Nigeria’s taxation sector.

As part of the event, the Foundation presented awards to top-performing students across key areas of taxation, including the Best Female in Extractive Industries Taxation, in recognition of exceptional academic performance.

The Foundation said the initiative forms part of its efforts to encourage merit, discipline and professionalism among young professionals while strengthening the country’s pool of skilled tax practitioners.

According to the Foundation, investing in education and the development of emerging professionals remains critical to achieving sustainable socio-economic growth.

It noted that recognising academic excellence not only rewards outstanding performance but also helps build a new generation of professionals equipped to contribute meaningfully to both the public and private sectors.

The Foundation also commended the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria for its sustained efforts in promoting professional standards, ethical practice and continuous learning within the taxation profession.

It stressed the need for stronger collaboration among professional bodies, academic institutions and development partners to advance education, professional development and national development.

The Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that promote education, leadership development and professional excellence, adding that deliberate investment in young talents remains essential to building future leaders and strengthening national institutions.
