Congress Newspaper, one of the Niger Delta’s fast-rising news platforms, has announced plans to celebrate its fifth anniversary with a grand event scheduled for Thursday, July 16, 2026, in Warri, Delta State.

The announcement was contained in a statement issued by the newspaper’s management and made available to journalists today According to the statement, the celebration will feature a series of activities designed to commemorate five years of impactful journalism, guided by the organisation’s core values of excellence, commitment, courage and service.

The management said the anniversary is not only a celebration of the newspaper’s achievements but also an opportunity to reflect on its journey, appreciate its readers and partners, and reaffirm its commitment to credible, fearless and responsible journalism.

Since its establishment in 2021, Congress Newspaper has steadily grown into a respected digital news platform, earning recognition for its independent reporting and consistent coverage of governance, politics, business, security, community development and issues affecting the Niger Delta and Nigeria at large.

Operating under its motto, “True, Fearless and Credible,” the newspaper said it has remained dedicated to reporting the truth, promoting accountability and amplifying the voices of ordinary Nigerians.

“From our first publication to this moment, we have remained steadfast in telling stories that matter, holding those in authority accountable and giving a voice to people whose concerns are often overlooked.
