The Benue State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu and Governor Hyacinth Alia will secure overwhelming support from the people of the state in the 2027 general elections, citing what it described as their impressive records in governance and development.
Speaking in Makurdi, the Benue APC Chairman, Mr. Benjamin Omale, said the people of the state have witnessed significant improvements in infrastructure, healthcare, education, agriculture and economic development under the administrations of President Tinubu and Governor Alia.
Omale maintained that the Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, coupled with Governor Alia’s development initiatives, has earned the confidence of Benue residents.
“The Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu has endeared him to the people of Benue State, who are ready to give him massive votes during the 2027 general elections, working with Governor Hyacinth Alia, who is transforming the state to match the Federal government’s presence across Benue,” he said.
The APC chairman pointed to ongoing road construction projects in both urban and rural communities, reforms in the education sector, improvements in healthcare delivery, and investments in agriculture and agro-allied industries as evidence of the governor’s performance.
According to him, the revitalisation of three factories and the establishment of new processing industries are helping to create jobs while addressing critical gaps in commodity production and service delivery.
“For a long time, Benue state was in the dark regarding development, but with the coming of Governor Hyacinth Alia’s administration in 2023, people can now see how their money is being utilised. Rural and urban roads are being constructed, public primary schools now have storey buildings for the first time, our primary healthcare centres are improving, and the health sector is attracting medical tourists from other states. Jobs are also being created through investments in agriculture and agro-allied processing factories,” Omale stated.
He urged residents of the state to remain committed to the APC administration and support the re-election bids of both President Tinubu and Governor Alia, saying continuity would enable them to consolidate ongoing development projects.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Hyacinth Alia have performed very well, and this has made our people in Benue State decide to vote for both leaders in the 2027 general elections. We encourage all residents to remain steadfast with Governor Alia’s administration, as even the man on the street can see the transformation taking place,” he said.
Omale further described Governor Alia’s administration as inclusive, saying it has accommodated people across political divides without discrimination. “This and many more have convinced the people of Benue State that the governor will do even more if given a second chance,” he added.
The APC chairman also said the party in Benue has grown stronger, more united and more popular under Governor Alia’s leadership, attributing the development to the governor’s respect for the rule of law and his people-oriented style of governance.
Omale assured that the Benue APC would remain fully committed to supporting President Tinubu and Governor Alia in their bid for second terms, expressing optimism that their continued leadership would guarantee sustainable development and progress in the state.
