Former Acting Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC) and Commissioner representing Ogun State, Hon. Kayode Oladele has expressed optimism that the state is on the path to greater development and prosperity under the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship hopeful, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola.
Oladele, in a statement issued on Monday to mark his birthday, and made available to newsmen in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, thanked residents of the State, political associates, friends, and well-wishers across the country for the outpouring of goodwill messages, prayers, and support.
Rather than viewing the occasion as a personal celebration, the former federal lawmaker described it as a moment of gratitude, reflection, and renewed commitment to public service.
According to him, the support and confidence reposed in him by the people over the years have been instrumental to every milestone recorded in his career.
“I dedicate this birthday to the good people of Ogun State whose support, prayers and encouragement have continued to inspire me throughout my public service journey,” Oladele said.
“Their faith in our collective vision for a better Ogun remains a source of strength and motivation. This occasion provides another opportunity for me to reaffirm my unwavering commitment to the progress, development and prosperity of our dear state.”
The former FCC chairman noted that Ogun State is at a critical stage in its development trajectory and requires purposeful leadership capable of consolidating existing achievements while creating new opportunities for economic expansion and social advancement.
He expressed confidence in the ability of Senator Adeola to provide such leadership, citing the lawmaker’s experience, competence and record of service to the people.
“Senator Solomon Adeola has demonstrated over the years that he possesses the vision, capacity and commitment required to move Ogun State to greater heights,” he stated.
“His achievements in public office and his passion for the welfare of the people are well known. I am convinced that under his leadership, Ogun State will witness accelerated development, expanded opportunities for our youths, improved infrastructure and greater economic prosperity.”
Oladele further described Adeola as a leader with a proven track record of translating the aspirations of the people into tangible developmental outcomes, adding that his inclusive approach to governance would foster unity and sustainable growth across the state.
Calling on residents to remain united, Oladele stressed that the future of Ogun State depends on collective commitment to a shared vision of progress, irrespective of political, ethnic, or sectional differences.
“The future belongs to leaders who can unite people around a common purpose and create opportunities for all. As citizens, we must continue to work together in pursuit of a stronger, more prosperous and more inclusive Ogun State,” he said.
He also urged APC members, stakeholders, and supporters to remain steadfast in their commitment to initiatives that promote peace, stability, and sustainable development across the state.
While expressing gratitude to God for the gift of life, good health, and the opportunity to serve, Oladele pledged to continue contributing to the advancement of Ogun State and Nigeria through advocacy, leadership, and public service.
He noted that the goodwill extended to him on his birthday had further strengthened his resolve to champion causes that promote justice, good governance, and the welfare of the people.
“As I celebrate another year today, my greatest desire is to see Ogun State attain its full potential as one of Nigeria’s leading states. I remain optimistic that with the right leadership, unity of purpose and the support of our people, the future will be brighter and more prosperous for everyone,” he added.
Oladele concluded by calling for continued prayers, unity, and support for the state’s development agenda, expressing confidence that Ogun State’s most prosperous days still lie ahead.
