Ambassador Lilian Ofiebor, a frontline female aspirant for the Otukpo/Ohimini Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 general elections, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has declared that “power is never gifted, it is claimed by those bold enough to rise,” as she formally entered the race and rallied support from her constituents.

Ofiebor, who recently purchased her nomination and expression of interest forms, presented them to her kinsmen, urging the people to unite behind her ambition and take collective ownership of the political process.

Calling for strong grassroots backing, she emphasized that her candidacy represents more than a personal quest, but a shared movement for fairness, unity, and effective representation.

“This is not just an announcement, it is a moment of alignment,” she said, describing her aspiration as a defining opportunity for the constituency anchored on justice and inclusiveness.

The aspirant paid tribute to her maternal and paternal heritage, noting that the people of Otukpo and Ohimini are bound by values of courage, loyalty, and conviction.

“A belief that equity is not a favour, but a right; a belief that unity is not a slogan, but a duty we must uphold together,” she stated.

Ofiebor further urged constituents not to remain passive but to actively participate in shaping their political future.

“Do not watch this story unfold without participating. Let’s all own it because this is not just my readiness, it is our time,” she added.
