Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo Central Senatorial District have commended Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire, SAN, for his Renewed Hope Mega Empowerment Programme, describing it as impactful and in line with his campaign promises.
Speaking in Ondo town and Akure ahead of the 2027 primaries, the party chieftains said Adegbonmire, who chairs the Senate Committee on Judiciary, has distinguished himself through quality representation over the last three years.
Communities across the senatorial district recently benefited from empowerment packages, scholarships, and facilitated federal jobs.
The initiative was witnessed by key stakeholders, including Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s representative and APC State Chairman Hon. Babatunde Kolawole, the Deji of Akure Oba Aladelusi Aladetoyinbo, and other traditional, religious, and political leaders.
At the Akure event, hundreds of beneficiaries received working tools and equipment aimed at boosting livelihoods.
Items distributed included vehicles, tricycles, motorcycles, generators, deep freezers, sewing machines, hair dryers, and other tools to support small businesses and improve household incomes.
In education, Adegbonmire has paid school fees for students, provided laptops and study materials, and facilitated the construction and renovation of classrooms, libraries, and laboratories, including one at Oyemekun Grammar School.
He has also sponsored bills and motions such as the FUTA Teaching Hospital Bill and a motion for the dualisation of the Akure-Ondo-Ore road.
In the health sector, he has revived and equipped health centres to expand access for rural communities.
He has also improved electricity supply by donating transformers, repairing faulty networks, and supporting abandoned electrification projects.
“The cash incentive is for artisans and widows to reinvest in their businesses,” Adegbonmire said.
“As a member of the APC and the National Assembly, I am happy to continue supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu because he is doing very well.”
APC leader Alhaji Olawoye said, “This is the kind of representation APC should be proud of.
“Senator Adegbonmire is delivering real empowerment, supporting education, creating opportunities for youths, and touching lives directly across Ondo Central.”
Engr. Ayotunde Bally of Ondo West added, “What stands out is his combination of strong legislative performance and grassroots connection.
Bally said that “From sponsoring strategic bills to facilitating jobs and empowerment programmes, he has shown that quality representation is about results, not noise.”
Former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Deaconess Lola Fagbemi, said, “APC needs more leaders like Senator Adegbonmire who understand that governance must positively affect ordinary people.
Fagbemi added that ” The scale of this programme shows a leader committed to genuine development and the Renewed Hope agenda.”
