Global tools and accessories manufacturer, SALI Tools, has officially entered the Nigerian market with the establishment of a local office and warehouse operation in Lagos as part of plans to strengthen its footprint across West Africa.
The company said the expansion, which commenced in early 2026, includes the creation of a local operational team comprising both Chinese and Nigerian staff to support business development and customer engagement within the country.
According to the company, the Lagos warehouse will serve as a distribution and support hub for Nigeria and neighbouring markets, helping to improve delivery timelines and after-sales support for customers in the region.
As part of its initial rollout, SALI said it is introducing metal cutting discs and grinding wheel products into the Nigerian market. The products, according to the company, have received international certifications including MPA and EN12413 safety standards used within the industrial tools manufacturing sector.
Speaking on the expansion, Chairman of SALI Tools, Peter Hu, described Nigeria as one of Africa’s key industrial and commercial markets with strong long-term growth potential.
“Nigeria is one of the most important industrial and commercial markets in Africa. We believe there is strong potential for long-term growth, especially within construction, manufacturing, metal processing, and infrastructure development,” he said.
Hu explained that the company’s strategy goes beyond product sales to building local partnerships and strengthening operational support for distributors and customers.
“We are not approaching the market only from a sales perspective. Our goal is to build a localized support structure that allows distributors and customers to access products more efficiently while also receiving technical and operational support where necessary,” he added.
SALI disclosed that it operates large-scale abrasive production facilities with an estimated annual output of 150 million cutting and grinding discs distributed across international markets.
The company said it is currently exploring partnerships with local agents, wholesalers, and hardware retailers as part of efforts to deepen market penetration in Nigeria.
Industry observers say the company’s entry reflects growing interest by international manufacturers in Nigeria and the wider West African market, driven by increasing demand for industrial tools, construction materials, and manufacturing support services.
