The federal government, through the Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, has tasked all agencies to strengthen collaboration, align policies, and deepen understanding of operational realities, achievements, and challenges.
Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Engr. Nadungu Gagare made the call during a tour of agencies supervised by the ministry, emphasising that the digital economy remains central to Nigeria’s national growth and global competitiveness.
According to him, “We must continue to work with greater synergy, innovation, professionalism, and accountability in delivering on our mandates.”
He emphasised the need for stronger inter-agency collaboration to achieve greater impact and avoid duplication of efforts.
For him, the best way to advance the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda through technology-driven development and improved public service delivery is for the staff of the agencies within the ministry to remain committed, disciplined, and innovative.
Responding, the Managing Director/Chief Executive, NIGCOMSAT, Mrs Jane Egerton-Idehen, expressed appreciation for the Permanent Secretary’s visit even as she sought continuous support from the ministry.
Egerton-Idehen, who was represented by the General Manager, Information Technology, Engr Baba Alkali, also noted that the tour was a great source of encouragement to the management and staff of the company and promised that NIGCOMSAT Ltd will always keep eyes on the ball.
