As Muslims around the globe gather to celebrate eid al-adha, the President of the National Youth Council of Nigeria NYCN Diaspora, Amb. Collins Idahosa, has extended his warmest greetings and felicitations to the Nigerian Muslim Ummah, particularly the vibrant youth demographic living across the diaspora and at home.
In a statement released, Amb. Idahosa emphasized that Eid al-Adha, the Feast of Sacrifice, comes at a pivotal time when unity, resilience, and selflessness are deeply needed to steer the nation and its global community toward sustainable growth.
He said: “Eid al-Adha is not just a period of celebration, but a profound reminder of the values of obedience, sacrifice, and faith, Our youth in the diaspora represent the vanguard of Nigeria’s future. As we mark this holy season, I urge us all to mirror the spirit of sacrifice in our daily lives by dedicating our skills, resources, and intellect to the upliftment of our fellow compatriots and the development of our homeland.”
The NYCN Diaspora President praised the incredible resilience of Nigerian youth worldwide, noting that their contributions to tech, culture, academia, and business continue to shine a positive light on the nation. He urged young Muslims to use this sacred occasion to pray for peace, economic stability, and security in Nigeria.
Amb. Idahosa also reiterated the commitment of the NYCN Diaspora leadership to continuously build bridges, create global opportunities, and advocate for the inclusion of young Nigerians in key decision-making processes, regardless of their geographical location.
“May this Eid bring layout blueprints of joy, prosperity, and renewed hope to every household Let us celebrate with love, share with the less privileged, and stand united as one strong, indivisible Nigerian youth community. Eid Mubarak,” he said.
