Dr. Olumuyiwa Daramola has emerged the All Progressives Congress candidate for Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency after polling 6,547 votes to defeat the incumbent, Hon. Jimi Odimayo, who got 827 votes.
In his acceptance speech, Daramola thanked all aspirants for participating and said the trust placed in him would not be taken for granted.
Daramola said “The trust you have placed in me is not taken for granted. I promise to justify this confidence through service, accessibility, and results that uplift every community in our constituency,” he said.
“My focus is clear: deliver quality representation, attract development to our communities, and serve every constituent with integrity.”
Daramola expressed gratitude to Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, party stakeholders, and members across the state and the constituency for their support.
He described the outcome as a sign of confidence in his ability to deliver effective representation.
The candidate also thanked the APC structure at the ward, local government, and federal constituency levels for their unity and commitment to a transparent process, as well as security agents and INEC officials for ensuring a peaceful exercise across the 23 wards.
Calling for unity ahead of 2027, Daramola urged all aspirants and their supporters to rally behind the party’s mandate.
He reaffirmed his loyalty to Governor Aiyedatiwa and President Bola Tinubu’s administration, pledging to turn that partnership into tangible results for Okitipupa and Irele. End
