Late Benue HoS, Dr. Ode

The 2023 APC Benue South Senatorial candidate, Daniel Onjeh, has expressed grief over the death of the Benue State Head of Service, Agbogbo Ode, describing it as a significant loss to the state and its civil service.

In a statement, Onjeh said he received news of the demise with shock, noting that the late Ode’s passing had created a vacuum that would be difficult to fill.

“His passing has created a vacuum that will be difficult to fill, given his experience, discipline, and commitment to public service,” he said.

Onjeh, a former Chairman of the Governing Board of the Projects Development Institute (PRODA), Enugu, condoled with the Benue State Government and the people of the Igede-speaking area of Benue South, as well as the deceased’s family and associates.

He described the late Head of Service as a dedicated public servant whose professionalism and calm disposition earned him widespread respect.

According to him, Ode was “a dependable technocrat who contributed meaningfully to strengthening administrative processes and institutional stability within the Benue State civil service.”

Onjeh further noted that the deceased exemplified integrity, diligence, and efficiency in the discharge of his duties, adding that his contributions to the state would not be forgotten.

He prayed for the repose of the late Ode’s soul and for strength for his family, colleagues, and the people of Benue State to bear the loss.
