Organisers of the maiden edition of the Abuja Eats Festival have described the event as a huge success, following what they called an impressive turnout and strong community engagement during the food and lifestyle gathering held in Nigeria’s capital city.
Speaking on the outcome of the festival, the organisers said the first edition exceeded expectations, noting that the event successfully brought together lovers of food, music, games, and culture from different backgrounds in an atmosphere filled with excitement and entertainment.
According to the organisers, “The first edition of Abuja Eats Festival exceeded our expectations in many ways. From the turnout to the energy, engagement, and overall experience, it was a strong statement that Abuja is ready for large-scale food and lifestyle experiences.”
They added that one of the biggest achievements of the festival was creating an environment that encouraged social connection and community bonding among attendees.
“Watching attendees connect over food, games, music, and shared experiences was special. We were also proud of the level of vendor participation and the visibility the festival gave to local brands and businesses,” the organisers stated.
The team further explained that the event created valuable opportunities for local food vendors, chefs, and lifestyle businesses to grow their customer base and increase visibility.
According to them, several vendors recorded impressive sales during the festival, while others gained new customers, partnerships, and increased online engagement through social media exposure.
“The festival created a platform for businesses to reach a wider audience, gain visibility, and increase customer engagement. Many vendors sold out and built valuable partnerships through the event,” they said.
Despite the success recorded, the organisers admitted that the planning and execution stages came with several operational and logistical challenges, including vendor coordination, crowd management, weather concerns, and infrastructure limitations.
“Like every first edition, there were logistical and operational challenges. However, our team stayed proactive, adaptable, and solution-driven throughout the process,” they explained.
They also disclosed that feedback from attendees, vendors, and partners after the festival remained overwhelmingly positive, with many describing the experience as refreshing for Abuja’s entertainment and social scene.
Looking ahead, the organisers revealed plans to expand future editions of the festival by introducing more interactive activities, increasing vendor participation, and improving infrastructure and overall crowd experience.
“We want Abuja Eats Festival to become one of the leading cultural and lifestyle festivals in Africa, while continuing to spotlight and support local talent and businesses,” the organisers added.
