The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has elected Hon. Christian Ukah as its flag bearer for the Ohafia South State Constituency seat ahead of the 2027 Abia State House of Assembly election.
Ukah emerged after a successful primary election held in Ohafia South, where he secured strong support across the wards in the constituency.
Party stakeholders described his emergence as a major step for the NDC in Ohafia South, citing his leadership experience, grassroots connection, and record of youth empowerment and community development.
Christian Ukah, an entrepreneur and CEO of CVG Group, is widely known for empowering thousands of young Nigerians through business and wealth creation initiatives. He is also recognized for leading notable development projects including Cityview Garden Phase 1, Cityview Garden Phase 2, and CVG Farmcity.
Supporters say his emergence reflects the growing demand for competent leadership, practical development, and stronger representation in Ohafia South.
Political observers within the constituency believe Ukah’s candidacy could significantly shape the 2027 contest, as his campaign continues to gain momentum among youths, community leaders, and party supporters.
With the primary concluded, the focus now shifts to the general election, where the NDC will be looking to consolidate support across Ohafia South behind Hon. Christian Ukah’s candidacy.
