Kekemeke polled 35,835 votes to defeat other aspirants in the exercise held across the district.
His closest rival, Mr. Akinfolarin Mayowa Samuel, scored 6,435 votes, while Barrister Moratorium Lebi came third with 1,845 votes.

The result was announced at the Ondo South Senatorial District Collation Centre in Okitipupa by the APC Returning Officer, Dr. Tunde Monehin.

Addressing party leaders and supporters shortly after his declaration, Kekemeke dedicated the victory to God, describing the outcome as a testament to divine favour and the confidence reposed in him by party faithful.

The former Secretary to the Ondo State Government also expressed appreciation to APC leaders and members across the district for their support and commitment throughout the primary process.
According to him, the victory was not for him alone but for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and the APC family in Ondo State.

He urged fellow aspirants and their supporters to put the contest behind them and unite for the overall success of the party in the forthcoming general election.

“We won together and we will work together for victory in the 2027 general election,” he stated.
Kekemeke assured residents of Ondo South Senatorial District of effective and quality representation if elected into the National Assembly, promising to remain close to the people and responsive to their needs.

“We will live here and live with the people of Ondo South to represent them well,” he said.
The APC chieftain further pledged to collaborate with other federal lawmakers from Ondo State to pursue legislative initiatives capable of boosting socio-economic development in the state and complementing the developmental efforts of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration.
