Frontline aspirant on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Hon. Niyi Akingunola, has emerged as the widely accepted and confirmed choice of the party for the Ondo East/West Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Hon. Akingunola enjoys overwhelming acceptance across wards, polling units, and communities owing to his longstanding relationship with the people and his reputation for purposeful leadership.

He is a respected procurement advocacy professional and a strong voice for transparency and accountability, widely believed to represent a new generation of visionary leadership rooted in competence, integrity, compassion, and service to humanity.

Through the platform, Hon. Akingunola has consistently championed civic engagement, legislative accountability, youth development, and policies aimed at advancing the collective interests of Ondo Kingdom and its people. 

Hon. Niyi Akingunola envisions a new era of inclusive growth, people-oriented representation, and sustainable development for Ondo East/West Federal Constituency if elected into the House of Representatives. His vision is centered on empowering young people through skills acquisition, technology, entrepreneurship, and job creation, while also improving access to quality education, healthcare, rural infrastructure, and economic opportunities for ordinary citizens. He believes representation should go beyond political appearances and should instead deliver measurable impact, accessible leadership, and policies that directly improve the lives of the people. According to him, the constituency possesses enormous human and economic potential that can only be unlocked through visionary leadership, accountability, strategic partnerships, and consistent engagement with the grassroots.

Speaking on the challenges confronting the constituency, Hon. Akingunola noted that Ondo East/West Federal Constituency has suffered years of inadequate and non-purposeful representation, poor infrastructural development and limited economic opportunities. He stressed that the people deserve a representative who understands their struggles, listens to their concerns, and actively pursues solutions capable of improving their standard of living. He maintained that the constituency can no longer afford leadership disconnected from the realities of the people, adding that 2027 presents an opportunity to redefine representation through competence, accessibility, and transformational leadership.
