Ace comedian and MC Gbenga Adeyinka has shared his thoughts on the vital role of comedy in life, describing it as an indispensable part of the human experience. In a recent interview with Potpourri, Adeyinka said, “Without comedy, there is no life. Without life, there is no comedy. A day without comedy is a day lost. For me, if you want anything to have substance, there has to be an element of comedy in it. Because life itself is a joke.”

Adeyinka also spoke warmly about his three-decade friendship with Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, highlighting her creativity and authenticity. “I have known Iyabo Ojo for over thirty years. She is an amazing person. If she is your friend, she is your friend. She is very supportive, very creative. I see her on social media playing that her character and it just blows my mind. She constantly rediscovers herself and is never afraid to speak her mind — that’s the beauty of Iyabo,” he added.
