President of the Nigerian Bar Association ,NBA, Mazi Afam Osigwe ,Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, former Chief of Defence Staff, CDS, General Lucky Erabor rtd are among eminent Nigerians expected at this year’s NBA Warri week with the theme: Public trust in the administration of economic and security challenges”.
The week which kicked off on Saturday April 18, with a health- walk from the Federal High court in Warri will close on Friday April 24 with a gala nite.
Briefing Journalists after the Health-walk on Saturday , Chairman of the NBA Warri Othadua Okpakpor said a novelty football match would hold later in the day between members of the NBA Warri and those of the Udu branch of the body. This will follow with a cocktail on Tuesday.
He said an eminent lawyer, Chief Charles Edosonwan, SAN, would deliver the keynote address on Wednesday at the opening ceremony to be chaired by the Chief Judge of Delta state, Justice T.O Diai. Governor of the state Sheriff Oborevwori, the president of NBA Osigwe,SAN are among the guests of honours to attend the opening ceremony.
The former CDS, General Erabor will speak on: “Law, economy and security conundrum in Nigeria”.
Royal fathers expected that day are – HRM, Hon.Justice F.F. Tabai (rtd) Pere Esuku 1, Ebenanaowei of Tuomo Kingdom, HRM Major-General Felix Mujakperuo (Rtd).
Orhue I, Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, HRM Albert Akpomudje, SAN, Eyavwie-Alaka I, Ohworode of Ancient Olomu Kingdom and Chairman of the Body of Benchers and HRM Pere Peremobowei Shedrack Erebelu, Aduo III, Pere of the Ancient Kabowei Kingdom.
Senator representing Delta central, Ede Dafinone, his colleague of Delta south, Senator Joel-Onowakpo- Thomas, the member representing Warri federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Chief Thomas Ereyitomi are among discussants of a paper: ” Delta ports and Nigeria’s blue economy: legal and policy challenges, and prospects, “on Thursday to be delivered by Prof A.D. Badaiki, SAN.
