A new solution to seamless medical referrals has been unveiled in Lagos. The Patient Referral, a powerful digital platform purpose built to streamline healthcare coordination across Africa by connecting patients, hospitals, specialists amongst others through a seamless referral eco-system.

Speaking at the unveiling, the Founder/CEO, Dr. Chimdi Mba disclosed that one of the essences of the digital platform solutions launch is to help reduce the delays in care, improves patient outcomes and empower healthcare providers to work effectively and efficiently.

She said ‘what we intend doing differently with floating of Patients Referrals is curb delays in healthcare delivery, improve collaborations between healthcare providers, digitalize and track referral records amongst others.

On what inspired the drive to build such platform, Dr. Chimdi says ‘working as an Emergency Medicine Physician in the UK, I see every day how a well-coordinated health care system saves lives. A referral that takes minutes in London, can take weeks in Nigeria- not because our doctors are less skilled but because the communication system is broken.

‘Patients Referrals was built because I know what seamless healthcare looks like and I believe every patient in Africa deserves exactly that.

It is pertinent to note that the platform is conceived, designed and engineered entirely by a Nigerian team led by Nnamani Chijindu Ikenna who describes the application as user friendly, easy to navigate.
