Wrexham goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo has officially switched his international allegiance from England to Nigeria after receiving approval from FIFA.

The Lagos State Government has dismissed reports of a rift between President Bola Tinubu and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, describing such claims as unfounded.

“Personnel serving in operational theatres… are also paid operational allowances and other mission-specific entitlements designed to support their welfare and enhance operational effectiveness,” the statement added.

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dr Gbenga Hashim, has resigned from the party with immediate effect, citing its deepening internal crisis and the collapse of efforts to hold it together.
