The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed confidence that its candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, will win the Osun State governorship election scheduled for August 15.

Director General of the APC Campaign Council, Oluwole Oke, said the party would run an issue-based campaign aimed at persuading voters to support its candidate.

Speaking in Osogbo after the inauguration of campaign subcommittees, Oke said the APC would focus on presenting its policy plans and engaging with residents across the state.

He also raised concerns about governance in key sectors such as education, healthcare, and agriculture, calling for improvements and outlining the party’s intention to prioritise development and welfare initiatives if elected.

“Our campaign will be centred on policies that address the needs of the people and improve living standards,” he said, expressing optimism about the party’s prospects in the election.

In response, Governor Ademola Adeleke, through his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, said the APC’s position reflects political competition ahead of the polls.

The statement from the governor’s camp maintained that the administration remains focused on governance and engagement with residents, while expressing confidence in its support base.

Both parties reiterated their commitment to participating in the electoral process, with campaigns expected to intensify in the lead-up to the election.
