The Olofin Adimula of Ado-Odo Kingdom, Oba Olusola Idris Adebowale Lamidi-Osolo Otenibotemole II, has commended Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for presenting vehicles to traditional rulers in the state.

The monarch gave the commendation following the statutory meeting of the Ogun State Council of Obas held in Abeokuta.

In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Chief Olugbenga Akande, on Thursday, the monarch described the gesture as a fulfilment of the governor’s promise to improve the welfare of traditional rulers.

“The gesture is a fulfilment of the governor’s promise to improve the welfare of traditional rulers and ease their responsibilities,” he said.

He added that the initiative would further strengthen traditional institutions across the state.

“This initiative is a significant step toward strengthening traditional institutions across Ogun State,” he said.

The royal father also congratulated the governor on what he described as landmark achievements, noting that some of the projects were unprecedented in the state.

“Some of the governor’s projects are unprecedented in the history of the state,” he said.

He listed some of the projects to include the Gateway Airport, Gateway Airlines, and other developments commissioned during the visit of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the state.

Olofin Adimula added that Abiodun had, over the past seven years, repositioned Ogun State as a major investment destination through policies and infrastructural development.

“Over the past seven years, Ogun State has been transformed into a major investment destination through impactful policies and infrastructural development,” he said.

He, however, expressed appreciation to the governor and prayed for the success of his administration.

“We appreciate the governor’s efforts and are confident in his ability to lead the state to greater prosperity,” he added.
