Oba Adeoye set to become 18th Oluoke of Okeigbo

The Oluoke of Okeigbo Coronation Committee has announced a week-long series of events for the official installation and coronation of His Royal Majesty, Oba (Barr.) Akintoye Felix Adeoye, Adegbitel II, as the 18th Oluoke of Okeigbo and paramount ruler of the Okeigbo Kingdom.

In a statement, High Chief Moshood Funmi Ogunlowo, Chairman of the Coronation Committee Central Working Group, said activities will run from Monday, April 20 to Sunday, April 26, 2026.

The events will begin with a football competition on April 20 at Okeigbo Grammar School Playing Field. Other activities are scheduled throughout the week. Ondo State Governor, Hon. Dr. Lucky Ayedatiwa, will be Special Guest of Honour.

Traditional rulers, government officials, and members of the public from across the country are expected at the grand finale on Saturday, April 25.

The coronation week, according to the statement, will close with a Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Okeigbo.
