NIJ to confer Fellowship on Customs CG Adeniyi at Special Convocation

The Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ) has announced plans to honour the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, with a fellowship at a special convocation ceremony scheduled for Wednesday, April 15.

The event will take place at the NIJ campus in Ogba-Ikeja, Lagos, with the conferment set to hold at the Sir Kensington Adebutu Media Resource Centre from 1:00 p.m.

According to the institute, Adeniyi, a Ph.D. holder and Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR), will be recognised for his exceptional leadership, commitment to public service, and contributions to the promotion of excellence in the Nigerian media.

The Chairman of the NIJ Governing Council and former Governor of Ogun State, Aremo Olusegun Osoba, will preside over the ceremony.

Adeniyi, an alumnus of the institute, is being honoured as part of NIJ’s tradition of recognising distinguished professionals who have made significant impact in their respective fields.

The ceremony is expected to attract a wide range of dignitaries, including media executives, security officials, industry leaders, alumni of the institute, and media scholars.
