NICOT President hails Bello Ahmadu on PhD in security and strategic studies

The President of the Nigerian Community in Turkey (NICOT), Emre Magboh, has congratulated Dr. Bello Ahmadu on the award of a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Security and Strategic Studies by Nasarawa State University, Keffi.

The conferment took place during the institution’s 8th Combined Convocation Ceremony held on April 11, 2026, at the Campus Convocation Arena, where dignitaries, academics, family members, and well-wishers gathered to celebrate graduating students.

Magboh described the achievement as a significant academic milestone, noting that Dr. Ahmadu’s research reflects the importance of scholarship in addressing contemporary security challenges.

He emphasised the need for research-driven solutions to real-world problems, adding that the accomplishment aligns with the goal of producing graduates who contribute meaningfully to national development.

He noted that Dr. Ahmadu’s doctoral work in Security and Strategic Studies comes at a critical time when Nigeria and other parts of the world continue to face complex security threats.

According to him, the research contributes to a better understanding of modern security dynamics, conflict resolution, and strategic policy development—areas essential to both national and global stability.

Magboh explained that Security and Strategic Studies covers key areas such as national defence, intelligence, terrorism, peacekeeping, and geopolitical strategy, adding that experts in the field play a vital role in shaping policies that promote peace and stability.

He congratulated Dr. Ahmadu on the achievement, stating that the new PhD holder has positioned himself among scholars capable of influencing academic discourse and contributing to practical solutions in security management.

He further expressed confidence that Dr. Ahmadu’s work would support policy development, mentorship of future leaders, and efforts to strengthen security frameworks for a more stable society.
