A prominent industrialist and leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement in Enugu State, Dr. Hillary Eze Kenechukwu, has called for unity within the African Democratic Congress (ADC), urging members to resolve differences and strengthen the party ahead of future elections.

In a statement, Kenechukwu appealed to stakeholders, particularly in the South-East, to embrace reconciliation and prioritise collective interests in order to build a stronger political platform.

He warned that internal disagreements could weaken the party’s efforts to expand its base and consolidate its position nationally, stressing the importance of cohesion at a critical period.

According to him, unity is essential to advancing the vision of a “New Nigeria,” which he said is associated with the collaboration between Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

He urged party members across the five South-East states to exercise restraint and work together to strengthen the party’s structures.

“As members of both the Kwankwasiyya and Obidient movements, we must not allow internal disagreements to derail our collective aspiration,” he said.

Kenechukwu also expressed support for Obi and Kwankwaso, describing them as leaders capable of contributing to national development.

He disclosed that efforts are underway to boost membership registration for the ADC across Enugu State and the wider South-East, aimed at integrating supporters of the Kwankwasiyya movement into the party’s structure.

He added that collaboration between the Kwankwasiyya and Obidient movements could play a significant role in building a broad-based political platform.

Kenechukwu emphasised that unity, grassroots mobilisation, and a shared vision remain key to achieving sustainable national development.
