Ibadan played host to a lively evening of music, culture and recognition as Polyphony Records Ltd held its 2025 Polyphony Awards in Oyo State.
The gathering brought together guests from the worlds of music, film, media and entertainment for a night that celebrated creativity and the people shaping the industry.
Led by the company’s chief executive, Nasiru Oluwaseun also known as King Nas, the event reflected the growing role of regional platforms in spotlighting talent and supporting creative communities beyond the traditional major-city circuit.
The ceremony honoured several personalities for their contributions to entertainment and creative development, including Dr Enitan Olusegun Bamidele, Benedict Ayoola and Kenny Ogunmiloro.
In a related gesture, the company also acknowledged long-standing community figures connected to the 2025 Jogor Carol event in Ibadan. Honourees include Femi Babalola, Bayo Olaniyan, Tope Miriki, Chukwu Anya and Wale Adediran. They were recognised for their service, philanthropy and support within the community.
Speaking after the ceremony, King Nas thanked guests, partners and artists for supporting the platform, while reiterating the company’s interest in creating opportunities for emerging talent and expanding the reach of African entertainment.
