The General Overseer of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria, Dr. Sam Aboyeji, has announced plans for the fifth edition of SWITCH, an interdenominational conference aimed at equipping young people for leadership and impact across key areas of life.
Speaking at a press conference in Lagos, Aboyeji said the event, tagged SWITCH 5.0, is designed to mentor participants in three critical pillars including marriage, ministry, and the marketplace which he described as essential for both personal fulfillment and national transformation.
He noted that SWITCH, first introduced in 2022, was conceived as a platform for the church to invest deliberately in the next generation by raising leaders grounded in integrity, excellence, and godliness.
According to him, the annual convergence reflects the church’s commitment to preparing young Nigerians for future responsibilities. He stressed that while the country is blessed with a vibrant and talented youth population, proper guidance remains crucial to prevent misdirection.
“SWITCH 5.0 is more than a conference; it is a call to alignment, a revival of purpose, and a renewal of vision,” he said, adding that the programme would provide spiritual empowerment and practical insights for success.
The theme for this year’s edition is “Graced Pacesetters,” which Aboyeji explained highlights the need for participants to become trailblazers through divine enablement rather than human effort alone.
The event will feature notable speakers including Pastor Yemi Davids, Lead Pastor of Global Impact Church and Lagos Chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, and Dr. Kola Adesina, Board Chairman of Ikeja Electric and Group Managing Director of Sahara Power Group.
Aboyeji and his wife, Rev. (Dr.) Mrs. Olabisi Aboyeji, are also expected to lead sessions at the conference which is scheduled to hold on May 2, 2026, at the Foursquare Gospel Church National Headquarters, Alagomeji, Yaba, Lagos, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
The cleric said the event is open to the general public, particularly students, youths, and young adults seeking success in life and purpose.
He reaffirmed the church’s commitment to nation-building through the development of godly leaders who can positively influence all sectors of society.
