Ardova Plc, authorised macro distributor of Shell Lubricants in Nigeria, has strengthened its partnership with APM Terminals, Apapa, to enhance maintenance efficiency and lubricant management at one of Nigeria’s most critical maritime gateways.
APM Terminals is one of the world’s leading port and terminal operators, playing a major role in facilitating and lifting global trade. As a key hub supporting large-scale import and export activities, operational reliability at APM Terminals Apapa depends heavily on disciplined maintenance practices and effective lubricant management.
Through this collaboration, Ardova Plc, in partnership with Shell, deployed the Modern Pulse Central Lubrication Dispensing System (CLDS) to optimise lubricant handling and control within the terminal’s maintenance operations. The system replaces manual handling with a closed dispensing network that enables controlled lubricant distribution and real-time consumption monitoring.
This upgrade has helped reduce product losses, preserve lubricant integrity, enhance workshop safety, and accelerate servicing turnaround time. The result is stronger inventory control and improved equipment reliability across critical port operations.
This initiative demonstrates how Ardova Plc and APM Terminals Apapa are working together to deploy Shell Lubricants solutions, delivering measurable operational value beyond product supply. The engagement was attended by key representatives from Shell, Ardova Plc, and APM Terminals, including Ayyan Bari, Macro Distributor Account Manager, Europe & Africa Markets (Nigeria & Libya); Elizabeth Galon, General Manager, Indirect Sales Europe & Africa Markets; and Farid Gaamouche, Business Manager, Indirect Sales Europe & Africa for Shell Global.
APM Terminals was represented by Chinyere Adenaike, Head of Procurement, Nigeria; Gordon Condie, Head of Asset Management; and Steen Knudsen, Terminal Manager. Ardova Plc was also ably represented by Moshood Olajide, Immediate Managing Director; Korede Odufuwa, AGM, Shell Lubricant; and Uche Eke.
Together, the partnership reflects a shared commitment to deploying world-class lubrication solutions that strengthen operational reliability across Nigeria’s critical infrastructure.
