Professional women in corporate Nigeria have been urged to embrace integrity and an ownership mindset as critical tools for long-term success and wealth creation, as The Bloom Conversations with Sola 3.0 convened in Lekki, Lagos.

The invitation-only gathering, which brought together about 40 women across diverse corporate sectors, focused on equipping participants with practical strategies for navigating career growth while maintaining strong personal values in a demanding work environment.

Founder and President of Woodhall Capital, Mojisola Hunponu-Wosu, who delivered a keynote session, challenged women to shift from “income thinking” to “ownership thinking,” stressing that true financial independence lies beyond salaries.
“For too long, the corporate narrative for women has been centered on climbing the ladder for a better paycheck. To build a lasting legacy, women must move beyond the safety of a salary and embrace the mindset of an owner,” she said. “It is about transitioning from being a participant in the economy to becoming a stakeholder.”

Also speaking, Executive Director, Financial Strategy at Sahara Group, Moroti Adedoyin-Adeyinka, underscored the role of character and integrity in career advancement, noting that competence alone is insufficient in complex corporate environments.

“Success in a complex world isn’t just about navigating the room; it’s about the substance you bring into it. Hard and smart work is crucial, but character is the compass. For corporate women to break through barriers, there must be as much intentionality about our integrity as there is about our technical delivery,” she said.

Convener of the platform, Oluwasola Obagbemi, said the initiative, launched in 2023, was designed as a safe space for professional women to share experiences and gain actionable insights for work-life integration.

According to her, the long-term vision is to build a pipeline of women who are not only technically proficient but also emotionally and socially equipped to thrive in the corporate world.

“The Bloom Conversations is creating a pipeline of women who can handle workplace pressures without losing their sense of self. Women are not made to be just one thing; women are made for more,” she said.

The 3.0 edition builds on previous sessions that featured prominent female leaders, including Folake Soetan and Adenike Macaulay, among others.

Organisers noted that the event’s success was bolstered by partnerships with corporate and lifestyle brands committed to advancing women, reflecting what they described as a growing recognition that investment in female talent is essential for national economic development.

As activities marking International Women’s Month 2026 wind down, the platform reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a supportive community where women can build capacity, share knowledge and lead with confidence in Nigeria’s corporate landscape.
