As Christians worldwide mark the Easter season, Captain Omatseyi David has called on believers to embrace the virtues of love, peace, and sacrifice exemplified by Jesus Christ.

In a statement titled “Triumphant Easter wishes to all Christians”, Omatseyi—who is aspiring to represent Warri Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives—said Easter serves as a reminder of Christ’s ultimate sacrifice and the enduring lessons of mutual respect, tolerance, and hope.

“The lessons of Good Friday and Easter have never been lost to the spiritually discerning. Ultimate sacrifice, obedience, and victory over death continue to inspire our need for mutual respect, tolerance, and readiness to work toward improving the lives of the greater majority,” he noted.

He urged Christians to carry these lessons into their daily lives, stressing that the celebration should strengthen conviction that the country’s future will be brighter.

“As we celebrate this significant event in the body of Christ, I urge every believer to take the lessons home with conviction that our tomorrow will turn out much better, to the glory of God,” Omatseyi said.

He concluded his message by wishing Christians a joyful Easter, describing it as “the triumph of good over evil.”
