A political group in Kaduna State, the Zango-Kataf/Jaba Coalition for All Progressives Accountability (CAPC), has called on the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to ensure a transparent and inclusive process in selecting its candidate for the Zango/Jaba Federal Constituency ahead of the next general elections.
In a statement signed by its Coordinator, Barrister Maikano Jerry Mendous, and Secretary, Comrade Danladi Ishaku, the coalition emphasized the need for fairness and broad consultation among party members during the primaries.
The group noted that the political environment in the constituency requires careful handling to maintain unity and strengthen internal cohesion within the party.
According to CAPC, party members and grassroots stakeholders are closely observing developments and expect a credible process that reflects the collective will of the people.
“The people of Zango/Jaba value participation and inclusiveness, and a transparent approach will help build confidence within the party,” the statement said.
The coalition also encouraged party leaders at both the state and national levels, as well as the Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, to support a level playing field for all aspirants.
It stressed that a credible primary process would not only promote unity but also enhance the party’s prospects in the elections.
CAPC further urged stakeholders to prioritize dialogue, cooperation, and adherence to democratic principles in order to sustain stability within the constituency.
