The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has appointed five-term federal lawmaker, Hon. Wole Oke, as the Director-General of its governorship campaign team, as the party intensifies preparations for the next election.
The announcement was made on Tuesday by the State APC Chairman, Mr. Tajudeen Lawal, during a prayer session at the party Secretariat in Osogbo. The event also saw the unveiling of Director-Generals for the three senatorial districts and chairpersons for the nine federal constituencies in the state.
The senatorial campaign heads include governorship aspirant Mr. Dotun Babayemi for Osun-West, Mr. Adeleke Adeleke for Osun-Central, and Mr. Thomas Ogungbangbe for Osun-East.
For the federal constituencies, former Osun Assembly Speaker, Barrister Wale Afolabi, will lead Ifelodun; former Deputy Speaker Akintunde Adegboyega heads Osogbo; and former Speaker Barrister Adejare Bello leads the Ede constituency campaign.
Speaking after the unveiling, Oke expressed confidence in the party’s prospects, describing the formation of the team as a key step in ensuring a successful campaign.
Osun-Central DG, Adeleke, also pledged that the campaign would remain issue-focused, free from internal crises, and committed to engaging voters on policies and development plans for the state.
The APC leadership noted that the appointment of the campaign team reflects a coordinated effort to consolidate party structures and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
