A major regional education summit aimed at reshaping the future of schooling in Northern Nigeria is poised to make history between 5th and 7th May, 2026 as the “All Northern Schools Conference 2026” brings together policymakers, educators, investors and innovators from all 19 Northern States.
Organisers say the event, themed “Repositioning Northern Schools for Innovation, Sustainability and Impact,” is designed to deliver bold solutions and strategic insights that will accelerate innovation and drive lasting improvements in the region’s education system.
The conference, which will hold at the Afficient Grand Marquee, Kano State and Maryam Abacha American University, Kano is expected to attract more than 1,000 participants including school owners, principals, government officials, techpreneurs, investors, and development partners in what is being billed as one of the most important educational gatherings in the North.
Convened by Dr. Hadiza Nuhu Yusuf Baba , Founder of Intercontinental Schools, Kaduna, the summit aims to re-energise and re-equip school leaders with actionable tools and practical knowledge that can improve school performance, enhance sustainability, and foster innovation in teaching and learning.
Speaking ahead of the event, the conference convener said the initiative reflects a deep commitment to strengthening education in the region at a time of rapid social and economic change.
“Northern schools must be empowered to lead in innovation, sustainability and impact. This conference will serve as a launchpad for fresh ideas, strategic partnerships and collaborative action that will change how education is delivered across the North,” she said.
Over the course of the conference delegates will engage in keynote speeches, panel discussions, Masterclasses, Exhibitions and solution-driven sessions focusing on cutting-edge educational practices, sustainable school models, policy alignment, and investment opportunities that support long-term growth and development.
Organisers have emphasised that the conference is more than a forum for talk — it is a strategic platform for action designed to generate real outcomes for Northern schools and the communities they serve.
The All Northern Schools Conference 2026 underscores a growing recognition that robust, future-ready education systems are essential for national development, economic inclusion, and global competitiveness.
