The Africa International Housing Show (AIHS) has announced that its 20th anniversary edition will feature a landmark initiative: one lucky participant will receive a two-bedroom home in Abuja.
Organizers described the gesture as a celebration of the show’s two decades of impact, positioning AIHS as Africa’s largest housing and construction platform.
“For 20 years AIHS has stood as Africa’s largest and most influential housing and construction platform—connecting developers, investors, governments, and home seekers across the continent. But AIHS @20 is not just another edition. It is a Legacy Edition—a celebration of milestones, partnerships, and lives transformed,” the statement read.
Highlighting the significance of the reward, the organizers added: “Imagine attending an event, networking, exploring opportunities, engaging with industry leaders… and then walking away not just with contacts or deals—but with the keys to your own home. This initiative is designed to promote homeownership awareness, reward participation and engagement, and demonstrate that housing solutions can be real and accessible.”
The statement emphasized that the initiative aims to inspire hope across Africa, noting that the continent faces a housing deficit running into tens of millions of units. Rising costs, limited financing options, and economic pressures have kept homeownership out of reach for many families. “By introducing this initiative, AIHS is sending a powerful message that housing is not just policy—it is a possibility. AIHS @20 is where opportunity meets impact,” the organizers said.
The 20th edition of AIHS will take place from July 13–18, 2026, at the Transcorp Hilton in Abuja. Participants from across Africa and beyond are expected to attend, making it the largest gathering of housing and construction stakeholders on the continent.
To be eligible for the home giveaway, attendees must register for AIHS @20 and actively participate in the sessions and activities during the event.
