Nollywood actor Saga Adeolu has opened up about the realities of filming intimate scenes, revealing that many actors do not actually enjoy kissing on set despite popular belief.

Speaking during a recent episode of the Nolly Icons podcast, the former BBNaija star said audiences often assume actors take pleasure in such moments, but the reality is far from it.

“It is not easy to kiss another actor. It is weird. I have not really had any good onscreen kisses. It is weird having people invade your mouth with saliva,” he said.

Saga explained that most actors simply carry out such scenes as part of their professional responsibility to bring scripts to life, not because they enjoy them.

“It is not something we enjoy. People think we enjoy it, but we don’t. We are just doing it for the story most times.

“If I had my way, I won’t kiss anyone in a film. There was a day I kissed four different girls on set,” he added.

Despite featuring in several romantic roles, the actor admitted he has never had what he would consider a “good” onscreen kiss, stressing that the experience often feels uncomfortable rather than enjoyable.

He also noted that actors should be appreciated for their professionalism in handling such scenes, rather than being judged or misunderstood by viewers.
