Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo state, has promised that Ondo State will deliver over one million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
Aiyedatiwa spoke during APC stakeholders’ meetings held across the state’s three senatorial districts.
He listed major federal road projects ongoing in Ondo as proof of Tinubu’s impact. They include the reconstruction of the Owo–Benin Expressway, the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway, and the Ore–Akure Expressway.
“The Owo–Benin project cuts across Owo and Ose LGAs, while about 71km of the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway passes through Ese-Odo and Ilaje LGAs, opening up coastal communities, he said.
“Also, the Ore–Akure Expressway links Odigbo, Ondo West and Ondo East LGAs and is critical to trade and connectivity, the governor added.
According to him, the projects are boosting socio-economic activities and improving trade routes across the state.
Aiyedatiwa described Tinubu’s reforms as bold steps to reposition Nigeria’s economy.
He admitted the policies may cause short-term hardship but said they are laying a solid foundation for long-term growth and stability.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s alignment with the Federal Government and urged residents and APC members to back Tinubu’s re-election bid.
Continued collaboration between both tiers of government, he said, would fast-track development and deliver more dividends of democracy.
The stakeholders’ meetings drew party leaders, grassroots mobilisers and government officials who pledged unity, strategic mobilisation, and commitment to electoral victory.
