Umanu Elijah Ojochenemi has been honoured with the Most Outstanding Youth Service Award by Rotary International, Auchi hilltop Branch, in recognition of his remarkable contributions to youth development, political leadership, and community empowerment.
Umanu Elijah, a committed political leader and community advocate, has consistently demonstrated leadership that empowers the youth and strengthens community structures.
The Charter President, Rotni Kadiri Obomeghie Mariam, said the award was in recognition of Elijah’s outstanding commitment to youth service projects in their communities.
“Your selfless dedication to serving others and making a positive impact in Nigeria and worldwide aligns perfectly with the values of Rotary International. “Your work embodies the spirit of service Above Self and exploring new ways to serve together,” she remarked.
As the founder of Tudi Africa, an NGO dedicated to education, mentorship, and capacity-building programs for teenagers and young adults, Elijah has created platforms that prepare the next generation for meaningful engagement in society and leadership roles.
In addition to his humanitarian work, Elijah is actively shaping the political landscape in Etsako. He is set to run for the House of Representatives for Etsako Federal Constituency under the platform of ADC party and the banner of his long-standing campaign “Etsako Must Shine.” His political vision focuses on human capital development, youth empowerment, and community-driven governance, reflecting a leadership style rooted in service, inclusivity, and accountability.
Receiving the award, Umanu Elijah expressed gratitude to Rotary International Auchi Branch, emphasizing that the honor is a recognition of collective efforts to empower young people and strengthen leadership in the community.
This recognition reinforces Umanu Elijah’s reputation as a transformative leader, combining political vision with tangible initiatives that prepare Etsako’s youth for the future.
